Bubble Time Part 1- The Adventure Time Backpack

I am so beyond excited to finally be able to share with you the Spongebob Bubble Time – Adventure Time Backpack that I made for little mans birthday! His birthday was back in APRIL so I have been holding onto this pattern testing secret for so long! Some of you might remember the backpack I made last year, well this one is a MILLION times cooler and the incredibly talented Lisa of Andrie Designs outdid herself with this one!

This backpack was INCREDIBLE to make! There are so many options that you can add to it to really make it something awesome!

Not only roomy, but TALL water bottle pockets! This means that little mans water bottles won’t fall out anymore! Plus there is one on each side so he will stay hydrated during the summer months! Now what is that front blue zipper for?

Just a huge pocket! It’s perfect for all the extra goodies he brings home! Plus there’s a very front pocket if you want too!

Zippered Necessary Clutch Wallet Tutorial: Part 2

Inside I added the large pocket with a tab closure plus a zippered pocket too! He literally has room for everything! We like to store his agenda in the large pocket because it saves it from getting curled edges/damages!

The straps are nicely padded and the yellow piping just POPS off of the blue! Don’t worry, Lisa walks you through the steps to get all that piping just right!

I made Little Man the large size and it fits him just right! It’s holding up really well and I see it lasting well into next year too!

He’s pretty proud of his backpack but what is part 2? You’ll just have to wait and see but all that Spongebob fabric you see on this backpack is in the second half of his birthday gift too! Read Part 2: The Bubble Time Quilt!
