The Vinyl Bottom Bow Bag
At the end of December after the Christmas rush and just before my birthday, I wanted to make myself something after making things for everyone else! Through my “Purses, Bags and Accessory Inspiration” I went and fell in love with this Pin of a bow clutch and this Pin of a super cool bag (the bottom is what I fell in love with!) I knew I didn’t want a clutch so I drafted up a pattern after some research of that cool bottom corner and came up with the Vinyl Bottom Bow Bag!
Both my bag and wallet have faux suede as the accent piece/bow. It’s so soft! The bag came out exactly as I had planned and is holding up quite well and the vinyl bottom is keeping it from getting dirty in the snow! The cool thing about this bag is the straps, they’re actually a belt sliced in half and stitched up! The colour matched perfectly with my blue vinyl and they are attached with rivets so they stay right in place!
I’ve been getting so many comments on it this month that I thought this could be one of the newest designs I start carrying in my shop! The bow and vinyl bottom can be made in any colour combo you can imagine and I am still hoping to stick with recycled belts as well. When I can’t get my hands on any belts, even the straps will be handmade of vinyl too!
I got this pretty pink Amy Butler Fabric on Instagram 3 weeks ago and new it had to be paired with the soft vinyl I bought for my Beard Clutch! The red bow actually has little flecks of gold in it as well, tying it all together beautifully! Again this one has recycled belt straps!
It’s all these little details that make me happy! The unique pleated box corner, 2 pockets inside- one for your phone and a zippered pocket for all the “stuff” we carry 😉 Plus there’s a magnetic snap closure and my little logo tucked in there as well!

This super cute cupcake fabric is actually a tea towel I bought from Ikea… because really who would want to get those cupcakes dirty! The vinyl on this one is quite thick and has a real leather look to it plus it has all the same goodness on the inside.
Both these beauties will be available soon in the shop and I cannot wait to start making more. I have become quite obsessed with sewing the vinyl so if you haven’t noticed the theme yet, there will be some “vinyl” changes in the shop in the coming weeks 😉
