Happy weekend to all my fans, I hope you have all had a wonderful week! This week has been very exciting for me, my application to the Spring Made by Hand Show in Toronto was approved! I am very excited about this opportunity to be in such a large show along side so many other crafters and artists. If you are interested in attending the event on April 20th, you can purchase your tickets online here: http://www.madebyhandshow.ca/buy-your-tickets-now-spring-mbhs/ Tickets are $5 for adults and children are free. Be sure to add my name (Aimee Beyer) as your vendor referral! I hope to see many of you there! Now onto this weeks craft, my new fabric bins!

My need for organization sparked my desire to make these bins! We found the perfect little shelves that looked like those typical 3 shelf square ones that you can find at Ikea only problem is, they aren’t square, at all! I tried multiple bins to fit on this little shelf and nothing worked! Last week I organized all my fabric in colour order on this little shelf but still wanted to make it look just a slight bit more organized! It took a little bit of measuring and guessing to see how big I wanted these bins to be but they came out the perfect size for my shelf!

All filled and scissors now have a home!
As you can see the bins fit perfectly on my shelf! My fabric is nicely tucked away now and my scissors have a new home that is much easier for me to access! The fabric I used is from Fabricland in two different shades which I find adds just enough extra colour without being too different! The very bottom of the bins is a thick black corduroy fabric and heavy interfacing to stabilize the bottom and the rest has fusible fleece to help keep the shape with out being to stiff! (Mostly so I can stuff them really full with even more fabric!) I’m sure you can also see my collection of vintage threads! That’s only a small tasting of all the thread that I have and is our next task to organize! My fiance is in the process of building me a lovely little thread organizer to mount onto the wall. I will be sure to share what he comes up with for me!

I hope everyone has a wonderful week this week! In case you haven’t noticed, at the top menu bar, I’ve added a new section to the website that I will be sharing links of other places you can find me as well as my favourite sites or places I have been featured online! Be sure to check out the links, I’m sure there is something for everyone.Have an amazing day and thanks for following! 🙂

Aimee
