I’m thrilled to announce PTBO Makes, a brand new Little Bird blog series! Something that I have always been incredibly passionate about, is meeting new makers and sharing them with all my friends. This series is all about sharing makers and artisans in my hometown.
Peterborough, Ontario is known for it’s massive arts and creative community. We have a free music festival that runs all summer long by the lake plus an awesome free Folk Festival as well. Each year there is even a studio tour where you can visit local artists in the region.
This series is going to feature a closer look at our handmade makers. Our sewists, knitters, crocheters and more. You’ll see some of the best of the best in town because Peterborough is bursting with creativity that needs to be showcased!
PTBO Makes Isn’t Your Average Maker Series!
I’ll be digging a little deeper so you’ll get a chance to know the insider info about these makers and the passion behind what they do. Many are even including a sneak peek into their studios and creative lives. I’ll be asking them some fun and random questions too, so you get to know the person behind the craft! Witnessing the creative process and love they put into their businesses, is truly inspiring. I feel so blessed to call many of these people friends!
Thursday, June 1st, marks the first post of the PTBO Makes series and you’re going to love this maker. She creates some of the coolest geeky things around, can you guess who it is?
If you are a maker in or around Peterborough Ontario and want to be featured, fill out this FORM and I will do my best to be in touch! Be sure to start tagging your photos on Instagram with #PTBOMakes and #MadeInPTBO so I can see your local makes! (Be sure to check out my profile while you are there!)
